Dialog

Dialog was founded in August 2021, starting when our co-founder Mikael, whose father lives with aphasia, identified a significant need for better tools for speech and language training at home. That idea was then discussed further with the rest of us, and we quickly realized the great opportunities that new technologies such as speech recognition, speech synthesis and generative AI could bring to the field of speech therapy.

Drawing form our expertise in AI and technology, we initiated the development of a solution while seeking input from speech therapists and their patients. The work culminated in a first version of Dialog in the spring of 2023, initially offered exclusively to speech therapists and aphasia patients.

In response to speech therapist feedback and a recognized demand, as of 2024, we have extended our solution to children and parents of children with speech and language difficulties.

At Dialog, we believe that speech and language training should be accessible and motivating for all participants. This is to enable optimal home training, ensure adequate practice volume, and improve the outcomes of habilitation and rehabilitation.

The Dialog platform would not have been possible without all the valuable help we received from experts in the field of speech therapy. From the initial concept through to today, we have persistently worked alongside experienced speech therapists.
